Coronavirus - Update
Updated guidelines when attending the practice
Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make the surgery as safe as possible for all our patients and staff. We will continue to do so going forward.
From the 19th July nothing will change at the surgery - patients will need to still wear a face mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser in the surgery and staff will continue to wear PPE where appropriate. We do understand that it can be frustrating but we know that when people come to us they are sick and vulnerable (and some cannot receive the Covid vaccinations due to medical reasons) so we feel it would be wrong to not take these small precautions that can protect people.
Jaunty Springs Health Centre has come so far in trying to minimise the impact of Covid and we are sure you understand that we all need to keep the surgery as safe for all patients as we can.
COVID VACCINATION COHORTSAnyone aged 18 and over can now book for their COVID vaccination by using the link below
Alternatively we will be in touch with patients to book them into the Woodhouse hub for a vaccine
Any patients who have had a first vaccine with us, we will be in contact around the time you are due to book you in for your second vaccine.
Thank you to all our patients for your patience during the vaccination program
If you have any concerns that you may have been exposed to or become infected with the novel coronavirus, please follow the links below which will tell you what you should do based on your particular circumstances:

The data held in your GP medical records is shared with other healthcare professionals for the purposes of your individual care. It is also shared with other organisations to support health and care planning and research.
If you do not want your personally identifiable patient data to be shared outside of your GP practice for purposes except your own care, you can register an opt-out with your GP practice. This is known as a Type 1 Opt-out.
Type 1 Opt-outs may be discontinued in the future. If this happens then they may be turned into a National Data Opt-out. Your GP practice will tell you if this is going to happen and if you need to do anything.
You can use the form above to:
Register a Type 1 Opt-out, for yourself or for a dependent (if you are the parent or legal guardian of the patient) (to Opt-out)
Withdraw an existing Type 1 Opt-out, for yourself or a dependent (if you are the parent or legal guardian of the patient) if you have changed your preference (Opt-in)
This decision will not affect individual care and you can change your choice at any time, using this form. This form, once completed, should be sent to your GP practice by email or post.
Certificates of Immunity
From the 17th May 2021, people in England who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can demonstrate their vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine
Gov.uk says GP's cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.
Your current options for vaccine status will be available from:
- The NHS app which you can download from app stores
- the NHS website
- No internet? No devices? Call 119 and they will be able to post a letter to you. You will need to provide details of the county you are travelling to for this.
Please visits the website below for further information:
If it is deemed appropriate , you may be offered an appointment at one of six GP access centres across Sheffield 6pm-10pm weekdays and 10am-6pm weekends
Which Service When ?
Inappropriate A+E attendances for problems that are neither emergencies nor related to acute injuries from accidents, cause delay in assessment for those who have genuine need. NHS Sheffield is keen to help you choose the right service for your needs at the time, i.e "the right place at the right time". That might be, self-care, pharmacist advice, walk-in-centre, GP (including urgent access as at Jaunty Springs Health Centre),or out of hours GP service. In order to facilitate that, there is some guidance available in our further information list. Please help by accessing the right service at the right time. This is especially important in the winter months when the health service is under additional pressure.Thank you
